Exposition Danièle Badet et Hélène Pesic

A doctor for over 30 years, I escaped into painting.

In my spare time, I've tried my hand at every technique: ink, watercolor, acrylic and oil. Today I have time to paint in Sant'Ambroggio, where I've lived for a long time, most of the year, and I devote myself to oil painting.

I discovered color with the wonderful landscapes of Corsica, mountains, torrents and seascapes, which were my first inspiration.

I love water, both tranquil and tormented, which I have painted in an attempt to convey its mystery and force.

Combining the power of vivid colors and the subtlety of gradations, undoubtedly translating the swaying of my soul, I want to share my feelings. My works are always intended to express reality. Starting from reality, transforming it, creating an atmosphere, I try to give my painting a soul.

As the poet says, "Do inanimate objects therefore have a soul, which attaches itself to our soul and gives us the strength to love? Danièle Badet.

Hélène Pesic:
After studying graphic arts in Paris, I began my career as a graphic designer. In 2002, I set up my own graphic design company in La Rochelle, where I have helped a number of companies with their communications needs, while regularly presenting exhibitions of my paintings.

After moving to Corsica in 2016, I completed this activity with two beautiful exhibitions in 2022 (at the Spaziu in Ile Rousse and the Mudacc in Calvi) and the creation of my beachwear brand "Helena Corsica", which features my paintings printed on everyday fabrics: beach towels, pareos and plaids.
