A Filetta & Sandrine Luigi

A Filetta is a well-known Corsican polyphonic vocal ensemble. For more than 40 years, they have been criss-crossing the globe, going from meeting to meeting and building up repertoires that are widely disseminated. While a cappella singing is his preferred domain, he also works from time to time with instrumentalists.
His new album, released in October 2023, is entitled “i balconi”, meaning balconies, as a nod to the appendages of our homes, the first steps, the first glimpses beyond our enclosed and circumscribed worlds; balconies, that place from which we discover that we are not alone... Texts that simply speak of our common destiny, our common humanity: love, death, resilience, the history of our furrows, the seas of our utopias, the voyages of our greatness and the bitterness of our finitude...
A corpus of polyphonic songs in which the voices are as many instruments at the service of the word; a single guitar, carefully written but in great simplicity, contributes to giving the whole a song-like format.

A concert that invites the listener, in complete intimacy, to penetrate the soft, hushed universe of a repertoire born during the singular and unprecedented period of confinement.
