This small chapel is dedicated to Saint Ignace de Loyola, the founding father of the Jesuits. It is said to be proof of the passage of a group of Jesuits who were forced out of Spain and took refuge in Corsica in 1767 or 1768.

It is the chapel of the brotherhoods of Saint Antoine Abbé and Sainte Restitude.
However, the cult of Saint Ignatius is not very lively in Calenzana, the inhabitants being more attached to Sainte Restitude.

It is now used as a chapel and funeral depository.

Although not open to the public, it contains a statue of the saint sculpted in 1995 by Toni Casalonga de Pigna.
