Sandcastles!

Come to Losari beach, not far from Ile-Rousse, on the Belgodère coast,  for a great day out in an enchanting and preserved setting.

If you came to the beach here a few years ago, you will find it very different today. You will no longer find the cars parked almost on the beach itself next to the beach establishments. Today, the Coastal Protection Agency has created a real haven of peace here.  Park your car in one of the car parks and take the footpath down through the maquis, to the beach.

You can finally lay down your towel and set up your parasol. The thick sand under your feet leads down to the clear water with different shades of blue. The soft slope here means it’s the perfect beach for families. There is also a surpervised section near the Casa di Losari, our Tourist Information Centre.

Are you bored at the thought of spending the day lying on the beach? Our partners In Terra Corsa and Corsiquad await you for all your favourite water sports: stand-up paddle, sailing, or a trip out on a jet-ski, there’s something for everyone.

Practical information

How do we get there? From Île-Rousse, take highway 30 towards Bastia. After around 7 km you will see the first entrance to Losari beach and the Casa di Losari, Tourist Information Centre car park. A small footpath will then lead you to the wooden path. The second entrance to the beach is about 500 m further down, near the Residence Belambra Club. Follow the path to the different parking areas, set up by the Coastal Protection Agency. Carry on walking, alongside the wooden fences which were put in place to protect and monitor the wildlife in the area.

The beach near Casa di Losari is supervised in the summer.

Animals are not allowed on Losari beach, even if they are kept on a lead.
