Overlooking the sea…

Come and discover this several thousand year old safe haven with ruins from the Neolithic period.

Take note of the defensive characteristics here: arched passageways, a maze of narrow streets and high houses, which up until not so long ago, still didn’t have any windows on the ground floor.
Head up to the top of the village. From the Cima neighbourhood, admire the view which stretches from the Regino Valley out to the sea. There was once a feudal castle here which was built in the 10th century.
Look out to the West, to Petra Tafunata, the hillside rock. Just after the spring equinox and before the September equinox, you will be able to see the sun appear through the stones as it is going down.
