Occhiatana

A brotherhood like no others…

Come and discover Occhiatana, built onto the side of Pinzu Sordu mountain. Let yourself be guided by the poetry of this charming village. Here, the keywords are tradition and modernity. Just like Biaggino de Leca, known as Alcyon the poet or the sculptor Damaso Maestracci, wander around the streets and take in the special atmosphere here. Go to the centre of the village and venture inside the church. Admire the 17th-century frescoes and the organ which is listed as a Historical Monument. Head up to the village square in the shade of the palm trees and you will reach the brotherhood. Here you are! This is the most important place in the village, a place for the locals to gather. Volunteers are working to restore this completely unique place, and organise entertainment here, for everyone to enjoy.
