Impermanence
Impermanence

On the road to Corbara, the Impermanence workshop handcrafts unique pens in local or exotic wood, resin, metal or recycled materials. A family adventure where each piece tells a story and celebrates the art of transformation.

Impermanence, the art of transformation.

It all starts with a piece of wood, a fragment of nature that sometimes falls from the Corsican scrubland. At Impermanence, we take the time to observe, smell and listen. Each material tells a story.

Impermanence is more than a workshop: it's an approach, a philosophy inspired by the idea that everything changes, that nothing lasts. From this impermanence comes creation.

On the road to Corbara, in the Balagne region of France, Catherine, Nicolas and their daughter Jessica work together to create unique pens by hand. Local or exotic wood, resin, metal, mother-of-pearl, cork or recycled casings: materials are transformed and given new life.
Each piece is carefully thought out, polished and assembled. Classic or daring, each pen carries an intention, a symbolism. At Impermanence, the object becomes an experience, the gesture becomes art.

And wood... becomes memory.
