Sortie de résidence - The Lunar Effect

CNCM Voce presents The Lunar Effect, a sound and visual creation inspired by the mythology of the moon. Singing, percussion and luminous ceramic sculptures transform the space into a poetic landscape, the result of a shared artistic residency.

The artists:
Marialuisa Capurso - Vocals
Benjamin Brown - Percussion
Roxanne Nesbitt - Composition, instrument creation

Residency output: The Lunar Effect

The Lunar Effect explores the mythology of the moon through sound, light and ceramic sculpture. This creation brings together drummer Benjamin Brown, singer Marialuisa Capurso and composer and instrument designer Roxanne Nesbitt, around ceramic bells used as both percussion and voice amplifiers.

These instruments also become light sculptures thanks to integrated light sources, exploring the links between sound, architecture and space. Ceramic cones direct and amplify the voice, revealing its movement and presence.

During a seven-day residency, the three artists will collaborate to create a work combining singing, improvisation and sound experimentation, which they will share with the community. Building on long-standing collaborations on the international scene, here they unite their universes to deepen their shared artistic research.
