L'Aria is organizing a playwriting workshop on the theme of childhood, directed by Dominique Richard.
Playwriting workshop on the theme of childhood. - Pedagogical objectives - Discover theatrical writing, its specificities and constraints. Explore the children's repertoire. Write short theatrical scenes and put them to voice. The idea is to propose a writing journey, from first drafts to finalized text. There will also be moments of collective writing, but each participant will write a personal text. - Methodology - Exploration of different writing triggers, whether formal (structural constraints) or psychological (memories, sensations...), preparation of characters, situations, possible links and conflicts, the places, objects and temporalities of the scenes envisaged, setting up the scenes that structure the story, writing the scenes in dialogue. The proposed approach is that of programmatic writing, in which the constraints and preparation of the writing project are gradually put in place according to the artistic stakes involved. Writing games, on the other hand, will be much freer. The theme is childhood, and the aim is to write from a child's point of view, to write in "puffs of childhood", to invent children's characters in relation to adults or other children. It's also about finding a personal "tone" that can tell the story of childhood. A presentation of this work will take place on Saturday, November 01.
