Stage - Chants épiques et voix intérieures

L'Aria is organizing a workshop for actors, singers and musicians on Epic songs and inner voices: vocal exploration around Homériade by Dimitris Dimitriadis, directed by Thomas Bellorini.

This research work will enable the actors to develop their vocal instruments, experiment with different vocal textures and dynamics, and explore how the voice can convey the emotions and poetic essence of the work. Singing, whether lyrical, sacred or inspired by popular traditions, will play a central role, notably through the use of polyphony or a cappella harmonies, creating soundscapes inspired by this journey of no return.

- Pedagogical objectives -
This work will enable participants to develop a keen awareness of their body as a vocal instrument, and refine their ability to navigate between spoken and sung voice, while serving the text and aesthetics of the staging.

- Methodology -
Each day will be structured to alternate between moments of vocal introspection, bodywork and stage practice. This rhythm will enable participants to progress at their own pace, while developing a fine, collective ear for the sound space they create together.

A restitution of this work will take place on Saturday April 19.
