The artist : Bayan Rida - Oud, vocals Residency release : Bayan Rid - "Je t'appelle" (I call you) The "Je t'appelle" project tackles the issue of Syrian forced migration by exploring the different facets of loss they faced in their quest for safety. It reflects the journey in search of a better life and the challenges they encounter along the way, including the risks of crossing the sea and the unknown, homesickness, and unfulfilled promises. The works included in the project highlight the profound impact of these experiences on the human being, and document the suffering of people who have been forced to leave their lives behind and face multiple traumas in their attempt to survive. In this context, the project can also address aspects such as emotional loss, exile, and feelings of disorientation, thus enhancing the public's understanding of the human suffering behind the numbers and news of forced migration. These works can express pain, hope and challenge, inviting reflection on the harsh conditions faced by refugees.
