The Altare group explores themes of everyday life through sacred and secular repertoire. Their church-like harmonies celebrate the earth as the horizon of our history, offering a musical experience imbued with tradition and spirituality.
The Altare group is rooted in traditional Corsican song. Its sacred and secular repertoire tackles the themes of eternal daily life: desire, nature, work, war, love, violence, exile, remembrance, faith... A familiar territory where drama and joy intertwine, where the spirit soars and the heart finds its way back to the light of the voice. Jean-Laurent Savelli, Fabrice Pasqualini, Jimmy Ronchi and Didier Cuenca form the Altare group, drawing on their many years of musical experience in a variety of island groups. In the course of a harmonic encounter in church, they propose a return to the primary source, the starting point of our identity, the force field of our culture and the only horizon of our history: the earth.
