For thrill-seekers and sports enthusiasts, Ghjuventù Petralbinca offers three trail routes and a fitness walk. An opportunity to challenge yourself and discover the magnificent scenery of the Pietralba and Casenove mountains.

-- L'Alturaghja, 45km trail - 2900 m D+ --
Solo or 2-person relay
A loop that passes through the 3 villages of Canale Pietralba Lama and Urtaca before turning over the San Pancraziu pass into the Nebbiu region. Participants will pass through the villages of Santu Petru di Tenda and San Gavinu di Tenda before heading for the highest point of the Serra di Tenda, Monte Astu (1535m). The last ten kilometers will be identical to the Petralbinca loop.

Time limit: 11 h
Time barrier: San Gavinu di Tenda at 11:30 a.m., Col de Tenda at 3 p.m.
Relay: Santu Petru di Tenda

-- In Petralbinca, 21km trail - 1400 m D+ --
The race crosses the Lama trails, passing by the Prunincu refuge, and on the way up you'll see the rock known as the "Indian head", before arriving at the highest point of the Serra di Tenda U Monte Astu (1535m). Enjoy a 360° view of Cap Corse and the Gulf of Saint Florent, San Petrone, the Incudine, Renosu, Rotondu é Cintu massifs and finally the Gulf of Ile-Rousse and the Agriate. After this break, head for Bocca di i banditi, then Bocca di Tenda, where you may be lucky enough to run alongside wild horses. The battle of Sampieru took place on this pass in 1554. Return via the Sterpapane fountain, then the old village of Casenove, which you'll cross on your way to Pietralba, where a buffet awaits you.

-- A Castagna, 11km trail - 500 m D+ --
Head for u fualellu to take the direction of l'Ondule, where several gardens still stood until the 70s and 80s. From Bocc'à e Quarce, the little loop heads towards the Orsia fountain and reaches its plateau. It emerges on the heights of the village at Cavallu Mortu, and crosses the river next to an old mill to lead you to the old village of Casenove, which you will cross like the other two runs to achieve an identical finish.

-- E Casinove, 8km sportive walk - 300 m D+ --
As for the races, head for u fualellu to walk on the heights of the village and enjoy the view of the hamlet of Pedano and the Rotondu and Cintu massifs in the background, then head for the old moulien which guides you to the gardens of "Nuvale", then the old village of "d'e Casinove" where you'll find the little chapel of Santa Lucia. Here, you'll enjoy a panoramic view of the whole Balagne region, Monte Astu and the Ostriconi sea. Descend on a paved path and cross the large road bridge, taking the "d'u Lupinaghju" path to reach the finish.

The 45 km L'Alturaghja race can be run solo or as a relay!

21KM & 1400D+ course: 25€.

    Race numbers can be collected from Saturday May 31, 2025 from 2pm to 7pm at the village hall, and the following morning, Sunday June 1 until 30 mins before the start of each race, at the village hall. A shuttle bus will be available to take you from the village hall to the start on the village square.
