A Cumpagnia

In Cumpagnia transmits to us these stories from the culture of its island, stories of love, revenge, daily life or exceptional events that we could hear in the different pieve of Corsica and whose group perpetuates the memory.

By reconstructing a popular instrumentarium and thanks to the work of craftsmen, traditional Corsican instruments such as cetera (citrus with 8 double choirs), pirula, pivana (goat horn flute), cialamella (single reed pipe) ) regain their letters of nobility. To these instruments are added more classic ones, such as the violin, the trumpet, the clarinet or the percussions. It is therefore between tradition and creation that the group expresses itself, in a perfect knowledge of the musical and poetic structures of the island, born of patient research in the field.
