A heavenly place…

Monticello is a small picturesque village surrounded by olive trees, and built around a small village square which is cherished by the locals. You will find them here, playing petanque or enjoying a cool drink on the terrace of the village bar. In the shade of the church and the bell tower, along the small streets, you will fall under the charm of this chic little village, just like the Corsican Statesman Pascal Paoli did in more ancient times.

This is a happy and peaceful place which will instantly make you feel at home. Just a stone’s throw from the seaside, you will find a friendly atmosphere, and village celebrations which bring together both the locals and visitors. It’s real taste of paradise.

Don’t miss the Saint Roch celebration on the 16th August every year. After the traditional mass, procession and blessings, all the locals get together to eat the famous chick pea soup. You may even bump into some celebrities who fell in love with the beautiful village of Monticello a long time ago.
