At the heart of the garden of Corsica…

Feliceto is nestled in the foothills of the Montegrosso Massif. This village is situated in a part of the Regino Valley and fully embraces the spirit of the mountains, surrounded by the highest peaks.

It is in this lush green, wooded area full of oak, pine and chestnut trees up on the heights, and olive trees from the village all the way to the Regino Plain that you will catch a glimpse of the vineyards from the Renucci and Maestracci estates.  But this village actually gets its name from water: the water from the river where people of all generations come to cool off each summer and that of the sources which supply the village.

Make a stop at the “ghjardinettu”, the village square. It boasts a small grocery store and this is where the locals like to spend their time; the children happily playing ball while the older generations watch the world go by.

This square really comes to life for the 15th August and the Saint Roch celebration, the patron saint of the village. Every year, there is a traditional ball with music and laughter, a real typical village celebration where the locals love to gather and welcome their neighbours from the surrounding villages in Balagne.

Don’t forget that from Feliceto, there are numerous walking trails which lead you in the footsteps of the former mule tracks and from where you can discover the heritage sites of the village and surrounding area, not to mention the troglodyte house of Falcunaghja, the house of the bandit…
